Yesterday: gone, but surely not forgotten.
All of our yesterdays shape us.
The good, the bad, the ugly,
all those yesterdays have likely held,
just as today and tomorrow will.
This life: a gamut of emotions.
They flood in and out continuously.
Yesterday, I wanted to grab hold,
keep the good, push the bad,
attach myself to whatever the feeling.
Today, tomorrow, and the following days
I hope to flow, with trust
that nothing sticks, except for love.
Love was there yesterday, and today,
and stays constant throughout it all.

indeed! I like your poem. I've read it a few times. I probably could read it at least a few more and still get something new out of it each time. That's impressive!
yes! like water, the tighter you grasp the harder it is to hold. But a gentle cupping scoops up great gulps. You will get farther if you can go with the flow. :)
Love endures.
A flooding and flowing. So true.
I hope you're remembering to take really good care of yourself during these days which, I imagine, are unimaginable. xx
Today, tomorrow, and yesterday I could use more love too :)
Oh yes, love is a constant. Thanks for the reminder.
